Carpet beetles can enter homes on flower bouquets or through small cracks around windows and doors. Carpeting, clothing and soft furnishings made with natural fibres can sustain significant damage from a carpet beetle infestation. The carpet beetle population grows rapidly, and they are most destructive during the larvae stage of their lifecycle when they look like small bristle-bodied grubs, but the adults will also cause damage to your home. Adults are dark in colour and have oval-shaped bodies.
